Opportunity for part-time Oral History Coordinator

Memories Captured is one of twenty projects that form the Chase & Chalke Landscape Partnership Scheme funded principally by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

It’s an oral history project that aims to capture the voices and stories of people local to the Cranborne Chase and Chalke Valley area in order to provide content and inspiration for the development of other projects within the Scheme and promote awareness of the rich rural life of the area. The project is being run in partnership with Blandford Town Museum.

The principal requirement for this role is to help plan, organise and coordinate a minimum of 40 interviews over 12 months. This includes becoming familiar with the objectives of the project, reporting on progress and copying and storing all recordings to the correct digital platforms so they can be enjoyed by the public.

The commitment is for 12 months at 10 hours / month at £2,000 (plus travel to and from facilitated sessions).

For a job description and details of how to apply, please visit the Cranborne Chase AONB Partnership website.
